Sunset Kiss - Poem
Sunset Kiss
The sun sank low in a sky of fire,
Painting the sea with hues of desire.
Waves rolled gently, soft and slow,
A lullaby only true hearts know.
Her dress, like petals, danced on air,
Catching the gold in a world so rare.
The breeze wrapped ‘round them, hushed and sweet,
As sand grew warm beneath their feet.
A silent vow in that sacred place.
Eyes closed slowly, breath drew near,
No sound existed—only here.
The kiss arrived like a falling star,
Brief, but bright as lovers are.
It held the ache of all goodbyes,
And the forever in hopeful eyes.
She tasted sun and salt and dreams,
And he, the truth in gentle seams.
No promise spoken, none to miss—
Just hearts colliding in a sunset kiss.
The sky grew dark, the waves moved on,
But something sacred lingered strong.
For even when the night grew cold,
They’d lit a fire the stars would hold.
