Do You Remember? Do you remember that very first night, The nervous laughter, the fading light? How words came softly, then hours just flew, And somehow the world disappeared into you? Do you remember the things we would say, The little good mornings that colored my day? Those quiet moments nobody knew, When nothing existed but me and you? Do you remember when silence felt warm, When your voice was my shelter inside every storm? When missing you hurt, yet somehow felt sweet, Because every goodbye meant again we would meet? Maybe some moments were never meant to stay, They come like the seasons, then wander away, But if you ever look at the stars like I do— Tell me, my love... do you remember them too?

Why does my chest still warm at memories we made?
Why do I hold the bridge that life has never swayed?
Why does your absence speak louder than your voice did?
Why does my heart unlock what time tried hard to forbid?
Why do I trace the dreams that both of us once hid?
Why do I stand in places where your shadows slid?
Why do I search the stars for signs I’ll never find?
Why do I read your silence like you meant to write a line?
Why does the world turn dim without your hand in mine?
Why do I stay behind when you no longer give a sign?
Why am I still here—loving without demand?
Why do I call your name though you don’t understand?
Why do I carry love like fire in my hand?
Why am I still here… when you let go of all we planned?
