Smile to the clouds above your head,
To silver skies and paths unread.
For even storms begin to fade,
When hope and light refuse the shade.

Smile to the wind, the rain, the sun,
To little battles bravely won.
To all the scars that made you grow,
And quiet truths your heart now knows.

The clouds have watched your tears before,
Your trembling nights, your silent wars.
Yet still they part to let light through,
As if the sky believes in you.

So lift your face, let sadness pass,
Like fleeting shadows over glass.
And maybe heaven, soft and proud,
Will smile right back from every cloud.
