Do you remember? - Poem

Do You Remember? Do you remember that very first night, The nervous laughter, the fading light? How words came softly, then hours just flew, And somehow the world disappeared into you? Do you remember the things we would say, The little good mornings that colored my day? Those quiet moments nobody knew, When nothing existed but me and you? Do you remember when silence felt warm, When your voice was my shelter inside every storm? When missing you hurt, yet somehow felt sweet, Because every goodbye meant again we would meet? Maybe some moments were never meant to stay, They come like the seasons, then wander away, But if you ever look at the stars like I do— Tell me, my love... do you remember them too?

You are my light - poem

You Are My Light

You are my light when the skies turn gray,
The quiet little sun that finds my way,
When shadows surround me and hope feels too far,
You shine through my darkness, my beautiful star.

You are my morning, my soft golden glow,
The warmth in my heart only you seem to know,
One smile from your eyes and the whole world feels new,
As if every sunrise was painted by you.

You never promised to chase storms away,
You simply stood near me and chose there to stay,
And somehow your presence made everything bright,
You didn't fight darkness—you gave me your light.

So if you should wonder what you are to me,
You're more than these words could ever let you see,
Wherever life takes us, whatever feels right,
I'll carry you with me—my beautiful light.
